About the Role As a Field Service Technician I, you will provide fuel handling equipment or outage critical crane field services at remote operating nuclear power plants and at local service center operations, using high technology service equipment in a manner reflecting Westinghouse's commitment to the highest levels of safety and quality. You will report to the Manager PWR Refuel Resources and be located on-site at specified plants and when not working at plants will be seated in Madison, PA. Key Responsibilities You will train to install, set-up, maintain, inspect, calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot fuel handling/outage critical refuel equipment at customer sites worldwide. Support equipment maintenance at the Waltz Mill service center between outage assignments. This requires ability to travel to the service center daily during equipment turnaround periods. Learn to review operational procedures, maintenance procedures, and drawings in detail. Participate in training programs to acquire and maintain certifications and keep current with technology and procedures. Practice a "Safety First" attitude as a necessary part of all activities. Demonstrate good housekeeping practices in work areas. Gain and maintain "Unescorted Access" status at nuclear power plant sites. Participate in team‑building skills with peers, supervisors, contractors, customers and other departments. Demonstrate good teamwork behaviors with peers. You will do extensive travel by airplane or automobile (60%-80%) and work with or around hazardous materials. Qualifications High school diploma or the recognized equivalent. 2 years, post‑high‑school degree/certificate or equivalent in experience. You will have 2 or more years in an industrial field with demonstrated mechanical abilities. We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be ($46,090.26 to $70,401.68) per year.
