Staff Accountant

Florence, KY | Contract-to-Hire 1st Shift | $32.00 - $39.00 per Hour

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the Florence, Kentucky area to identify a skilled Staff Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This position offers the chance to join a stable organization while contributing to key accounting and financial operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities.
• Analyze financial results and investigate account variances.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Assist with inventory and cost accounting processes within a manufacturing environment.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management review.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and financial controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of month-end close procedures.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing accounting experience.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Background in inventory accounting or cost accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
