Unit Clerk – Surgery Trauma – Full Time Night Location: United States, Georgia, Atlanta Job Summary The Unit Clerk assists the nursing and medical staff in a surgery trauma unit by performing a variety of service activities and clerical tasks to ensure the efficiency of patient care. Responsibilities include gathering, processing admissions, discharges, and transfers; organizing unit supplies and equipment; maintaining a safe environment; communicating effectively with staff, patients, families, and visitors; and utilizing technology. The Unit Clerk also advocates for patients and participates in performance improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Gather and process admissions, discharges, and transfers. Organize unit supplies, equipment, and maintain inventory. Maintain a safe and orderly unit environment. Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, patients, families, and visitors. Utilize electronic medical record and other technology systems. Advocate for patients and participate in performance improvement. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
