Director of Pharmacy

Overview The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for the oversight and management of pharmacy service, drug stock, drug storage, drug distribution and delivery of pharmaceutical care. The Director may also be the Pharmacist in Charge (Class C) as designated by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. Responsibilities Oversee and manage pharmacy services, including drug stock, storage, distribution and delivery of pharmaceutical care. If designated by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, act as Pharmacist in Charge (Class C). Complete required competencies within the introductory period. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy PREFERRED EDUCATION: Pharm D; Masters Degree or equivalent experience, or residency MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of hospital pharmacy postgraduate experience at a supervisory level.
