Responsibilities As a Speech Language Pathologist, help patients regain abilities and communicate, swallow, and address disorders or deficits. Design, deliver, and oversee rehabilitation plans; work with patients to execute those plans. Approach care with a holistic view of the patient and tailor programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance speech and communication abilities. Be adaptable to patient needs and maintain energy through varied settings and tasks, including equipment maintenance and meetings. Collaborate with peers and make referrals to ensure patients receive comprehensive care. Serve as a teacher, training patients and caregivers to promote independence and productivity. Qualifications Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or similarly-titled area approved by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
