RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D) Travel Assignment

Join a Level II Trauma and Teaching Hospital providing exceptional maternal and newborn care in a collaborative Labor & Delivery unit. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced L&D nurses who are comfortable caring for high-risk obstetric patients in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Requirements

• Active California RN License
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NRP Certification
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification (or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients in an acute care Labor & Delivery unit preferred
• Must be comfortable managing high-risk pregnancies and deliveries
• Must be willing to work 3–4 weekend shifts every 28-day schedule
• Meditech experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and care for laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Interpret fetal monitoring and respond appropriately to changes in maternal and fetal condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, and emergency obstetric procedures
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Provide patient and family education throughout the labor and delivery process
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
