Job TitleProvides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting at our AFC Urgent Care Stamford location. This role supports a fast-paced clinical environment and works directly with a franchised business location. Specific duties and benefits may vary by location.ResponsibilitiesObtain patient vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit; prepare patients for examinationExplain prescribed procedures and treatments to patientsEnsure all ordered tests are completed accurately and in a timely mannerAdminister medications and treatments according to approved protocolsPerform venipuncture and prepare specimens for reference lab and/or in-house processingConduct laboratory testing, quality controls, and equipment maintenance per written proceduresRespond to lab messages and patient call-back requestsPerform drug screening procedures in compliance with established regulationsAdminister and document immunizations according to approved protocolsCoordinate physician referrals and obtain service pre-certifications as neededPrepare and maintain exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and suppliesMaintain complete and accurate patient documentationPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsAssociates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
