This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior SEO Strategist based in Canada.

As Senior SEO Strategist, you'll lead strategic SEO initiatives for fast-growing B2B SaaS businesses and connect organic search performance directly to commercial outcomes. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to senior marketing and executive stakeholders, translating complex SEO insights into clear, actionable business recommendations. The role combines strategic leadership, client success, technical SEO, analytics, and innovation in an increasingly AI-driven search landscape. You'll manage a portfolio of approximately 3–5 clients while building long-term relationships and taking ownership of their SEO outcomes. You'll use data, experimentation, and market insight to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and guide clients toward confident decisions. Success requires strong business judgment, technical expertise, communication skills, and the ability to operate independently in a remote environment. Accountabilities:

• Develop comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with B2B SaaS business objectives, growth priorities, and measurable commercial outcomes.
• Lead client communications, including strategic planning sessions, monthly and quarterly business reviews, and senior stakeholder discussions.
• Translate rankings, traffic, conversion, pipeline, and other performance signals into clear narratives, recommendations, priorities, and next steps.
• Challenge assumptions, explain trade-offs, identify risks, and guide clients toward informed decisions and committed actions.
• Drive innovation in AI-enhanced SEO strategies and adapt approaches to emerging developments in AI-powered and semantic search.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of approximately 3–5 B2B SaaS clients while building trusted relationships with senior marketing, demand generation, product marketing, and executive stakeholders.
• Proactively identify client opportunities, risks, blockers, and areas for improvement before they become issues.
• Ensure client discussions result in clear actions, owners, timelines, and consistent follow-through.
• Guide technical SEO implementation and identify technical, content, authority-building, and conversion-focused optimization opportunities.
• Use GA4, GTM, reporting platforms, and modern SEO tools to generate actionable performance insights.
• Recommend and guide advanced schema markup and other technical SEO initiatives.
• Prioritize recommendations according to expected business impact, required effort, client context, and implementation realities.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, strategic innovation, and the continuous improvement of SEO frameworks and processes.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional SEO experience, including at least 1 year focused on B2B SaaS.
• Previous experience in a client-facing SEO strategy position with direct ownership of client communication and outcomes.
• Proven track record of generating organic growth for B2B or enterprise clients.
• Strong history of developing successful client relationships and contributing to client retention.
• Deep understanding of technical SEO, content strategy, analytics, organic performance measurement, and conversion-focused SEO.
• Hands-on experience with GA4, GTM, and modern SEO tools and reporting platforms.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to lead client conversations, present recommendations, and produce concise, client-ready communications.
• Strong commercial and strategic judgment, with the ability to prioritize SEO initiatives based on business impact and implementation feasibility.
• Ability to confidently present performance, opportunities, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn complex or fragmented SEO data into clear business insights.
• Comfortable challenging assumptions, influencing decisions, and communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Self-directed and accountable, with a demonstrated ability to own priorities and outcomes in a remote, fast-paced environment.
• A growth mindset and genuine interest in emerging SEO developments, particularly AI-driven and semantic search.
