Adjunct Faculty - Physics

Job Description Summary The School of Sciences & Humanities at Wentworth Institute of Technology seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach College Physics and Engineering Physics I & II for the Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 semesters. Spring classes begin in January; Summer courses begin in May. The adjunct faculty member is responsible for a combination of tasks depending on the particular teaching assignment: Preparing a syllabus for the course and distributing the syllabus to the students, based on recommendation of the School of Sciences and Humanities and the provost office. Teaching assigned physics lecture and/or lab courses in collaboration with the course coordinator and lab technician. Preparing quizzes, labs and exams as directed by course coordinator. Grading assignments and exams in a timely manner. Meeting students during office hours outside of class as required. All qualified applicants will receive documents. Minimum Education Required Master’s degree. Minimum Work Experience Required 1-3 years as a primary course instructor. Minimum Knowledge Required Comprehensive knowledge of theories, concepts and practices and ability to use them in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations.
