About the Position

Job Title

Surgical Technologist - Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM with Call Requirements | 72 Guaranteed Hours Biweekly (excluding on-call time)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform surgical technologist duties across a wide range of operating room services and specialties
• Independently scrub and assist on transplant, cardiac, and vascular cases
• Fulfill on-call obligations approximately 3 times per month, including evening, overnight, and weekend shifts
• Maintain accurate documentation and workflow using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care in the OR

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of surgical technologist experience required
• National certification as a Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA / CST) required
• Large hospital OR experience required
• Demonstrated ability to independently scrub transplant, cardiac, and vascular cases
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records required
• Current flu vaccination required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 4–5 years of surgical technologist experience preferred
• Broad experience across multiple surgical services
