Sports Medicine Physician

Join our team as a Sports Medicine Physician supporting a federal healthcare program. This role is ideal for a physician with strong orthopedic and sports‑medicine experience who is committed to delivering high‑quality, mission‑driven care. Position Overview The Sports Medicine Physician provides comprehensive musculoskeletal and sports‑related medical care, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic orthopedic conditions. Responsibilities include: Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests Develop and implement treatment plans for sports‑related injuries and orthopedic conditions Provide patient education regarding injury prevention, rehabilitation, and return‑to‑activity guidelines Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure coordinated, high‑quality care Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with program standards Ensure compliance with all required certifications, licensure, and credentialing requirements Qualifications Must meet the education requirements outlined for the position Must maintain required certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS) and any additional required credentials Must have at least 3 years of full‑time clinical experience in Orthopedics or Sports Medicine within the last 5 years Must be board‑certified in one of the following specialties: Emergency Medicine Family Practice Internal Medicine Pediatrics Orthopedics Preventive Medicine Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Must have successfully completed a Sports Medicine fellowship of at least 1 year, or hold a Certificate of Added/Additional Qualification in Sports Medicine Must maintain a current, valid, unrestricted license to practice What We’re Looking For A dependable, patient‑focused physician with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality care. #J-18808-Ljbffr The Royster Group, Inc.
