JOB DESCRIPTION

Wise Staffing Group is seeking dependable Machine Assistants for a local packaging and manufacturing facility.

This position supports machine operators and production operations to ensure products are manufactured, packaged, and prepared according to quality and production standards.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Machine Assistant works alongside machine operators to support the safe and efficient operation of production equipment. This position includes loading materials, monitoring production, inspecting finished products, removing completed materials, maintaining an organized work area, and assisting with basic machine operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist machine operators with daily production activities.

• Load and stage raw materials and supplies needed for production.

• Feed materials into production or packaging equipment as directed.

• Remove finished products from machinery and prepare them for the next stage of production.

• Inspect products for visible defects, damage, incorrect sizing, or other quality concerns.

• Package, stack, label, bundle, or palletize finished products as required.

• Monitor machines during operation and immediately report jams, malfunctions, or quality issues to the machine operator or supervisor.

• Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and basic adjustments as trained and authorized.

• Maintain production materials and keep the work area properly stocked.

• Complete basic production documentation as required.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and production requirements.

• Wear required personal protective equipment at all times.

• Perform additional production or warehouse duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Previous manufacturing, machine operation, packaging, or production experience is preferred.

• Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

• Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

• Willingness to learn production equipment and manufacturing processes.

• Ability to follow established safety procedures and supervisor instructions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.

• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements.

• Ability to work around operating production machinery.

• Ability to lift and move materials within the requirements established for the position.

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where noise levels and temperatures may vary.
