CDL Driver (Hazmat & Tanker) We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Driver with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements to handle daily routes between Alabama and Tennessee. You will operate CDL vehicles for scheduled deliveries, transport hazardous and liquid cargo in compliance with regulations, and support warehouse operations by handling, loading, and preparing products for shipment. This position offers daily home time while combining driving responsibilities with hands-on warehouse work. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL vehicles to complete scheduled deliveries between Alabama and Tennessee. Transport hazardous materials and liquid cargo in full compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Load and unload products from the truck, ensuring accuracy, proper handling, and adherence to safety procedures. Assist in warehouse operations when not driving, including product handling, staging, and preparing loads for upcoming shipments. Use forklifts and other material-handling equipment as needed to move and organize freight. Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip records, and required documentation for each route. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, identify potential issues, and promptly report maintenance needs. Follow all traffic laws, safety guidelines, and company policies while on the road and in the warehouse. Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues. Consistently demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic in both driving and warehouse duties. Essential Skills Valid CDL license with Hazmat endorsement. Valid CDL license with Tanker endorsement. Experience driving commercial trucks, including flatbed trucks. Ability to safely load and unload freight from trucks. Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Clean driving record that meets DOT and company standards. Ability to pass a DOT physical examination. Ability to pass required drug screening. Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers. Ability to lift, move, and handle products as needed during loading and unloading. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with truck delivery and local or regional truck driving routes. Experience operating flatbed trucks for various types of loads. Familiarity with DOT regulations related to hazardous materials and liquid cargo. Attention to detail in maintaining delivery logs and trip documentation. Comfort working in both driving and warehouse environments. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Decatur, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
