Certified Nursing Assistant Med-Surg - Full-Time | Nights

The Staff Pad has partnered with a respected healthcare organization in Russellville, Alabama to hire compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for the Med‑Surg unit. As a CNA on the Med‑Surg unit, you will play a vital role in supporting nurses and caring for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Your work directly contributes to patient comfort, safety, recovery, and the overall success of the care team in a dynamic hospital setting. Schedule: Full‑Time | Nights What You’ll Do Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Monitor and accurately record vital signs, intake/output, and other patient information Support admissions, discharges, and patient transfers throughout the unit Assist with ambulation, repositioning, and fall prevention measures Provide post‑operative care support by monitoring patient comfort and reporting concerns Maintain clean, organized, and safe patient rooms and clinical areas Respond promptly and compassionately to call lights and patient needs Observe and report changes in patient condition to the RN or care team Assist with specimen collection and transport following protocol Follow infection control, safety, and hospital policies at all times Deliver exceptional, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced Med‑Surg environment What We’re Looking For CNA certification required (or equivalent experience) Previous experience in a hospital or Med‑Surg setting preferred BLS certification preferred Strong communication, teamwork, organizational and multitasking skills Compassionate, patient‑focused care with a commitment to safety and confidentiality Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in fast‑paced environments What You Can Expect Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 100+ lbs with support) Exposure to clinical environments, including infectious diseases and biohazards Benefits Medical, Rx, Dental, Vision, Life & AD&D Insurance Retirement Plans PTO, Leave of Absence Maternity/Disability Leave Flexible Spending Account Exceptional patient care starts with a team that feels valued, supported, and empowered—backed by comprehensive compensation and benefits every step of the way.
