Custodian PositionThe Stroum Jewish Community Center is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our members, staff, and community. This role is essential to the daily experience of everyone who walks through our doors. If you take pride in your work, enjoy staying active throughout your shift, and want to be part of a mission-driven organization, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoPerform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removalClean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, classrooms, offices, and common areasRestock supplies such as paper products, soap, and sanitizersRespond quickly to spills, accidents, and urgent cleaning needsAssist with room set-up and breakdown for events, programs, and meetingsHelp move furniture, equipment, and supplies as neededMonitor facility conditions and report maintenance or safety concernsUse and maintain custodial equipment and supplies safely and properlyFollow all health and safety guidelines, especially in childcare and aquatic areasProvide friendly, professional service when interacting with staff, members, and guestsSupport the overall cleanliness and presentation of the facilityPosition pays $19.00 to $21.00 per hour based on experienceWe are currently hiring for a full-time position with the following schedule:Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.Monday – Wednesday: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.Please Note: This is a 40-hour-per-week position. Physical Demands: To perform the job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, stoop, climb, balance, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to talk and hear. The incumbent may be required to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally. Environmental Conditions: The work is typically performed in an office, fitness center, or classroom environment, with a moderate noise level.
