Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled RN to join the operating room team for a seasonal travel assignment. The role involves supporting elective surgical procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment, providing exceptional patient care and ensuring surgical safety.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and assist with elective surgeries such as ortho/spine, CV, plastics, GYN, robotics, and urology.
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields and surgical equipment per facility guidelines.
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to facilitate smooth operations.
• Document clinical procedures and patient information accurately in the EMR system.
• Adhere to all unit policies, safety protocols, and equipment usage standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current hospital acute care OR experience.
• Minimum of 1-year recent OR RN experience in a hospital setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required; ACLS preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication, flexibility, and multitasking skills.
