Job Title: Cath Lab Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 12 months Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Must be in hand prior to start date Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, RCIS or ARRT accepted Must-Have: Call: Minimum 2 days a week and every 3rd weekend Experience: Previous charge experience preferred Charting System Experience: Preferred. Minimum experience required is 1 year. First timers are not accepted. Candidate must have skills in circulating and conscious sedation. Procedures include cardiac and interventional radiology interventions. Cardiac procedures involve left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, and balloon pumps. Interventional radiology procedures include venous access and tube placements. Candidates should be proficient with equipment such as Acist injector, Siemens C-arm, and Philips C-arm. Accurate monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias are essential skills. The candidate will be expected to perform EKG lead placement and central venous access. Floating is required and candidates may float within the hospital or to nearby affiliates. The candidate must possess a valid license prior to the start date. Temporary licenses may be obtained once permanent license applications have been submitted. Healthcare experience in various patient age groups is beneficial.
