Position Title: Eligibility Specialist II Agency: Children and Families Pay Plan: Career Service Position Number: Various Vacant Positions Minimum Starting Salary: $34,760.00 Apply By: July 15, 2026 Job Summary This position supports the unit supervisor and plays an important role in strengthening case accuracy, staff development, and overall program performance. Duties include reviewing cases, providing feedback, training and mentoring staff, assisting with complaints, processing complex cases, reviewing Quality Control and monitoring data, supporting fair hearing reviews, and participating in committees, workgroups, and community activities. Key Responsibilities Review cases and provide feedback. Train and mentor staff. Assist with complaints. Process complex cases. Review Quality Control and monitoring data. Support fair hearing reviews. Participate in committees, workgroups, and community activities. Qualifications Currently employed in an ESS I position or above. At least 18 months of experience determining eligibility for public assistance programs, including Temporary Cash Assistance, Food Assistance, Medicaid, and Refugee Assistance, processing applications or reviews from receipt to disposition. Strong knowledge of Food Assistance and Medicaid policy and procedures is preferred. Travel Requirement: Travel to Marathon, FL twice a week.
