Travel Requirement Not Applicable Shift Evening This is an Hourly position Job Description Position Summary Operate and maintain equipment in a manufacturing environment. Responsible for meeting plant targets for safety, quality, efficiency and cost reduction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work in a manufacturing environment emphasizing teamwork, safety, training and discipline. Work in a team environment on safety, quality, productivity and cost improvement projects. Completes all working documentation, records and reports as requested. Understand all company policies and procedures. Be proactive and reactive to resolve abnormalities in the process. Use key performance indicators as a method of continuous improvement. Lead and direct Team Member activity. Expected to be completely versed in his/her area and should be able to adequately instruct anyone to perform these duties. Ability to discuss test problems with QA, Engineering, and Production and make suggestions for corrective action. Ability to supervise people. Interpersonal Focus on employee relations centered on trust and teamwork. Demonstrate a personality that works in cooperation with other team members toward building a sense of company teamwork. Work on continually improving skills as outlined during performance review. Attend all required training as outlined on training matrix. Qualifications Ability to communicate and work well with others in a group environment. Must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English. Basic math skills are required. Education and/or Experience Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. One to two years of experience in quality manufacturing preferred. High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Physical Demands The employee needs to be capable of working on their feet for long periods of time and occasionally will be required to lift up to 33 pounds.
