Outpatient Physical Therapist

Responsibilities Assist patients in reaching maximum physical performance while adjusting to disabilities Restore patient physical functioning by interpreting physical therapy evaluations and test results Determine physical therapy treatment goals and plans Administer manual exercises; instruct, encourage, and assist patients in performing physical activities and using assistive and supportive devices Complete billing sheet accurately by end of day Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit Perform patient assessment and establish a plan of care Provide in-service education programs for nursing personnel as needed Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluationDiscuss evaluation, goals, and treatment with both patient and family Participate in hospital-wide quality process improvement Supervise PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations Qualifications Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program required Physical Therapist [Massachusetts -or- Rhode Island License] required Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License preferred Experience completing an internship or apprenticeship program 1-2 years preferred Knowledge of medical terminology Excellent organizational skills Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems #J-18808-Ljbffr
