Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, Atlanta, GA, US. This travel assignment starts 11/16/2026 and runs for 13 weeks with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The shift is Night, featuring 12-hour shifts on a 2x3 schedule. The position is on a high-acuity medical-surgical/trauma-focused unit and requires EPIC EMR usage. BLS is required; ACLS is preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty is expected. No time-off requests (no RTO) are permitted during this assignment. EPIC proficiency is required for continued documentation and handoffs.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult patients on a high-acuity medical-surgical/trauma unit, including routine assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor for therapeutic effects and adverse reactions
- Perform wound care, IV therapy, tubing management, and basic telemetry as applicable
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans; participate in rounds and handoffs
- Document accurately in the EPIC EMR and ensure clear, concise communication during shift handoffs to ED and admitting units
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and privacy standards; provide patient and family education as needed
- Manage typical patient assignments with a census around 5:1, adjusting for patient acuity and unit needs

Requirements
- Active RN license required; state of licensure aligned with assignment location
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg or equivalent high-acuity experience
- Ability to work night shift schedule and maintain performance on a busy inpatient unit
