Job Posting Title: Manager - U.S. Network Facility Security
Time Type: Full Time
Up to 40% within the United States; occasional global travel as required
Summary
The Manager, U.S. Network Facility Security is responsible for hands-on execution and sustainment of DSV’s physical security requirements across assigned U.S. Contract Logistics facilities. Reporting to Network Facility Security leadership, this role works directly with site and regional Operations teams to maintain SRE audit readiness, identify and close security gaps, verify corrective actions, and sustain required physical security controls. The Manager serves as a practical field and program resource, completing assessments, maintaining audit evidence and action trackers, supporting customer reviews, and following remediation activities through verified closure. Success requires strong attention to detail, disciplined follow-up, and the ability to drive day-to-day security compliance and continuous improvement through operational partners.
Duties and Responsibilities
SRE Audit Readiness & Compliance
- Execute ongoing SRE audit preparedness activities across assigned facilities, ensuring required security controls, procedures, records, evidence, and artifacts are current, accessible, and audit-ready.
- Perform recurring site readiness reviews, control validation routines, and pre-audit assessments using established standards to identify deficiencies before formal customer, internal, or third-party reviews.
- Coordinate assigned audit-preparation activities with Operations, Facilities, Engineering, IT, Compliance, Customer Success, and site leadership; organize evidence and provide hands-on support during on-site audits.
- Track audit observations, corrective actions, owners, due dates, and validation evidence through sustainable closure; escalate aging or high-risk actions.
- Identify repeat findings and systemic compliance weaknesses and convert them into network-level corrective or preventive actions.
- Maintain clear visibility to readiness and remediation status through scorecards, dashboards, and regular leadership reporting.
Proactive Security Gap Closure & Risk Reduction
- Conduct routine facility security assessments, gap analyses, and risk reviews against customer contractual, corporate, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Proactively identify control weaknesses involving access control, CCTV, visitor management, intrusion detection, perimeter security, key control, guard services, and other physical security technologies.
- Prioritize security gaps based on risk, customer impact, operational exposure, and contractual requirements; establish practical corrective-action plans with accountable owners.
- Partner with site and regional Operations leaders to drive timely remediation, verify control effectiveness, and ensure corrective actions remain sustained after closure.
- Implement compensating controls when permanent remediation cannot be completed immediately and maintain documented follow-up through final resolution.
- Analyze incidents, audit trends, and assessment results to identify emerging risks and prevent recurrence.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Security Excellence
- Maintain assigned continuous improvement actions for physical security, using audit results, incident trends, site assessments, customer feedback, and operational observations to identify and document opportunities.
- Coordinate cross-functional improvement actions that strengthen compliance while simplifying execution and improving consistency across assigned facilities.
- Apply and help improve standardized site security routines, checklists, control-verification methods, and best practices across assigned U.S. Contract Logistics operations.
- Measure the effectiveness of improvement actions through security KPIs, repeat-finding reduction, remediation cycle time, control compliance, and incident trends.
- Facilitate lessons-learned reviews and share effective practices across facilities to accelerate network-wide improvement.
- Promote a culture of security ownership, operational discipline, accountability, and prevention rather than reactive compliance.
Customer Security Program Execution
- Support execution of customer contractual security requirements throughout the customer lifecycle, from implementation through steady-state operations.
- Interpret security requirements and partner with the Director to translate them into practical site procedures, controls, training, and documentation.
- Serve as a day-to-day operational point of contact for assigned customer security reviews, SRE audits, follow-up actions, and routine compliance matters.
- Partner with Commercial, Customer Success, Solutions Design, and Operations to identify security requirements and implementation risks for new or changing customer operations.
Security by Design & Facility Readiness
- Support security reviews for new facilities, customer implementations, expansions, and major facility modifications.
- Validate that physical security requirements are incorporated into design, construction, commissioning, and operational-readiness activities.
- Partner with Engineering, Facilities, Construction, IT, and Operations to validate access control, CCTV, visitor management, intrusion detection, perimeter security, key control, guard services, and related controls prior to launch.
- Conduct post-launch validation and drive closure of residual security gaps identified during implementation.
Incident Response & Corrective Action
- Support investigations of physical security incidents, control failures, and compliance deviations; lead defined workstreams or lower-complexity investigations as assigned.
- Ensure incidents are documented, escalated, investigated, and closed in accordance with applicable customer and DSV requirements.
- Facilitate root-cause and corrective-action activities and verify that preventive controls are implemented and sustained to reduce recurrence.
- Coordinate with Operations, HR, Legal, Compliance, IT, and customer stakeholders as required.
Stakeholder Leadership & Network Execution
- Drive assigned actions to completion through site Operations leaders and functional partners, often without direct reporting authority.
- Provide practical guidance to site security resources and operational teams on security expectations, audit readiness, corrective actions, and control sustainment.
- Build productive working relationships across Operations, Engineering, Facilities, IT, Compliance, Quality, Customer Success, and global security teams.
- Provide concise status updates to security leadership and escalate material risks, overdue actions, or resource constraints.
Educational Background / Work Experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in physical security, corporate security, logistics, supply chain, distribution operations, compliance, or a related field; multi-site experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience preparing facilities for customer, internal, or third-party security audits and driving findings through verified closure.
- Experience performing physical security assessments, identifying control gaps, developing corrective actions, and validating sustainable remediation.
- Working knowledge of physical security technologies including access control, CCTV/video management, intrusion detection, visitor management, perimeter controls, key control, and security incident/reporting platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional continuous improvement and compliance actions through operational partners without direct authority.
- Strong analytical, documentation, project-management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple remediation workstreams concurrently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate risks, findings, corrective actions, and status to operational and security leadership.
- Ability to travel up to 40%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Physical Security Professional (PSP), or progress toward certification.
- Experience within third-party logistics (3PL), supply chain, fulfillment, e-commerce, manufacturing, or other high-throughput multi-site operations.
- Experience supporting Fortune 500 customer security programs and customer-specific audit frameworks, including SRE-style security reviews.
- Knowledge of CTPAT, TAPA, ISO 28000, or comparable supply chain security frameworks.
- Experience with corrective and preventive action (CAPA), Lean, Six Sigma, or structured continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience developing security dashboards, compliance scorecards, audit trackers, and executive-ready reporting.

- Reduction in overdue remediation actions, repeat findings, and preventable physical security incidents.
