• Approved pharmacology course or previous medication experience with successful achievement in medications exam
• Knowledge in cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of equipment utilized in the clinical operating room
• BLS certification

Description: Qualified candidate will function under the direct supervision of an RN. Candidate will assist in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients by performing routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the department. Candidate will perform technical duties relating to scrub personnel, including precise and efficient reactions to all situations. The role includes assisting with departmental work as assigned. Surgical technologists play a vital role in creating and maintaining a sterile surgical room. They ensure that surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely. Additionally, they assist surgeons during surgical procedures. Candidate must arrive within 30 minutes of being called in. Artificial nails and eyelashes are not permitted due to hospital policy.
