As a Quality Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring our products are manufactured to meet design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.In this hands-on role, you will provide production line support through inspection, auditing, calibration coordination, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities. You will work closely with Production, Process Technicians, Area Coordinators, and Quality personnel to identify, investigate, and resolve quality concerns while promoting compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards.The Quality Technician will also support the Senior Quality Engineer with measurement and inspection activities as needed. Experience with a CMM and/or Faro Arm is preferred, but we welcome candidates who have a strong willingness to learn and participate in additional training to develop these technical skills.Strong computer skills are important for success in this role. Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word is required, as these tools will be regularly used for documentation, data analysis, and reporting. Experience with PowerPoint is preferred, and a willingness to learn and expand proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is encouraged.This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a team environment, solving problems, and continuously developing their technical and quality skills.Job Duties:Develops and implements methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designedAnalyze reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions (MSA Studies, Calibration Reports from Vendors etc)Responsible for Reviewing MRB Area, Coordinate Disposition of Suspect Forms, Update MRB FileCollaborates with Vendor Representatives on planning gauge calibrationsResponsible for Calibrating In-House as trained and making sure other required calibrations done by vendors are promptly scheduled before due date.Investigate issues to identify root causes and implement short -term and long-term corrective actions by using 5 Whys and 8Ds.Perform process verification audits to ensure work instructions and control plans exist for operators on assurance control.Complete Internal Audits for ISO 9001 and Layer Process Audits.Complete incoming inspection of supplier and internal parts for compliance too the quality standards.Assist with properly communicating and training in the needed areas when a quality alert is created and issued.QualificationsExperience Required:Associate's degree in an engineering technology or related field from an accredited college or university OR High School diploma (or GED) with 5+ years of experience2+ years of assembly and/or paint production quality experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of quality tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring instruments.Mechanical and Paint AptitudePreferred ISO 9001 Auditors CertificationBasic understanding of machine function and manufacturing process.Proficient in the execution of methods and proceduresAble to respond effectively to changing prioritiesExcellent problem-solving abilityStrong communication, organizational and interpersonal skillsExperienced in office technology with solid MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with modern digital tools.Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and practices along with understanding QA and QC (Kaizens and 5S)Preferred knowledge of and performing MSA/GR&R StudiesAbility to present technical documents and projects.
