You just found it.Job OverviewInitiate production schedules for the various product lines as needed to satisfy sales requirements.Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties5%-Open the lines of communication between Planning, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sales to determine the best course of action for Production.5%-Preside over biweekly production meetings to discuss issues related to the current schedule and resolve any pending issues.20%-Run the Visibility MRP (Materials Requirements Package Planning) package to coordinate the purchase of component parts.20%-Run the Visibility MPS (Master Production Scheduling) package to load the sales forecast and drive the manufacture of finished goods and the resources needed.10%-Anticipate problems that may occur on the production floor, such as material shortages, and take corrective, proactive action in order to avoid down time.10%-Take the general sales forecast by product line, from sales and marketing and develop it into a part specific format compatible with the Visibility software system.20%-Track production performance and report results to management.5%-Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties as requested.3%-Assists in special projects as needed. 2%-Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties as requested.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Business, Materials Planning or related field.Minimum of three years’ experience in a production environment. Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) are requiredRequired Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work under pressure in a multi-tasking environment. Experience in production or inventory control in a manufacturing environment. High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Must be self-motivated and able to operate independently.
