Warehouse Specialist

The Warehouse Specialist plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations, inventory management, and material flow optimization across business units. This position is responsible for analyzing inventory data, maintaining material accuracy, supporting Kardex Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient material handling, system integrity, and operational readiness.

Job duties include: analyzing inventory and material movement data from SAP, Kardex, and Power Pick Global (PPG) to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement; monitoring and maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counting, reconciliation activities, and system audits; acting as the primary liaison between warehouse operations, planning, purchasing, and manufacturing teams regarding material availability and inventory issues; supporting Kardex VLM operations, including material storage optimization, bin configuration, inventory mapping, and system maintenance activities; developing and maintaining material handling strategies for picking, put-away, replenishment, and Kanban processes; ensuring accurate material master data, including part numbers, storage locations, bin assignments, and inventory attributes; investigating inventory variances and performing root cause analysis to implement corrective actions; coordinating inventory transfers, material replenishment, and stock consolidation activities to support production requirements; assisting with Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) by coordinating material disposition, inventory adjustments, and procedural updates; participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for warehouse and inventory management system enhancements, including creating and executing test scripts; collaborating with IT, warehouse teams, and vendors to support system integrations and inventory management solutions; generating inventory reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and material analysis dashboards to support operational decision-making; supporting warehouse automation initiatives and continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing efficiency and accuracy; conducting material assessments to optimize space utilization, storage strategies, and inventory control processes; coordinating training and providing guidance on inventory management processes, SAP transactions, and Kardex system usage; monitoring inventory levels and collaborating with Planning and Purchasing teams to mitigate shortages and excess inventory; ensuring compliance with company policies, quality requirements, and inventory control procedures; managing technical setup, including Power Pick Global (PPG) software installation, VLM-PC network binding, and workstation maintenance; participating in SDA IP address update projects; collaborating with security and SAP Basis teams to configure IPs and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

Required skills and experience include: experience with inventory management systems such as SAP, Kardex, and Power Pick Global (PPG); strong understanding of material planning, inventory control, warehousing, and supply chain processes; experience analyzing inventory data and identifying process improvement opportunities; knowledge of warehouse automation systems and material handling equipment; strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, and data analysis; ability to coordinate effectively with Operations, Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, and IT teams; experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions; excellent verbal and written communication skills. Required education and training includes: high school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; associate's degree in supply chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred; knowledge of inventory management principles and Lean material handling practices; understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control techniques, and material flow processes; ability to interpret inventory reports and identify opportunities for process improvements.

This position may be filled at a different job level than listed here depending on business need and/or on the selected candidate's experience, knowledge and skills. Compensation will be based primarily on the job level at which the role is filled and the candidate's qualifications, consistent with applicable law.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
