Wayzata Cafés Assistant Job ID: 11607 Location: Plymouth Creek Elementary School Position Type: Food Service / Food Service Worker Date Posted: 7/8/2026 Hours: 3.25 hrs/day (approx. 9:45am – 1:00pm) Starting Wage: $24.18/hour (Not health or dental benefit eligible) Duties and Responsibilities Develops and maintains a good working knowledge of applicable department and district policies and procedures Confers with the immediate supervisor or in-charge individual to ensure a correct and complete understanding of the work to be done, priorities, and important information Develops and maintains cooperative, productive workplace relationships to create a pleasant environment for all serving and being served Performs a variety of food preparation responsibilities and/or duties of a Food Service Worker per schedules and standard procedures Performs additional duties related to preparation, serving, and clean-up of planned meals for school and/or community special events Attends designated and approved in-service or out-of-district training classes and workshops to stay current in field policies and procedures Keeps supervisor informed of all important matters to minimize downtime or safety problems Performs kindred job duties as assigned by the supervisor Selects, measures, mixes, finishes, and readies products for serving based on standardized recipes or as directed Qualifications Previous related experience working in an institutional kitchen Experience with quantity food production Basic math and computational skills Other Skills and Abilities Ability to communicate directions, ideas, and concepts Ability to perform computer entry and use of institutional food service equipment All new food service employees must pass a pre-placement physical that is arranged through the district. #J-18808-Ljbffr Wayzata-Public-Schools
