Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse in the Telemetry unit provides safe, high-quality patient care by applying nursing principles, evidence-based practices, and interdisciplinary collaboration. They focus on patient safety, education, and improving patient outcomes through professional nursing standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions using telemetry equipment to detect changes requiring intervention.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to established protocols and patient needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families about their condition, medication, and post-discharge care to promote health and safety.
• Maintain accurate, thorough documentation consistent with regulatory, legal, and institutional standards.
• Demonstrate leadership by performing charge nurse duties, coordinating unit resources, and supporting staff development.

Qualifications:

• Current NYS RN license with valid certification in BLS and ACLS.
• Minimum of 2 years recent telemetered critical care and medical-surgical RN experience.
• Proficiency in electronic health records, preferably EPIC.
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; associate degree considered with relevant experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, with demonstrated teamwork and communication skills.
