SECURITY OFFICER

POSITION SUMMARYObserve and report all safety and/or security hazards relating to visitors, members, and other employees; as well as detect and report any damage to property and artifacts under the supervision of a Senior Security Officer, Security Supervisor and/or Director of Security.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDuties include performing security patrols by foot or vehicle, answering visitor inquiries, responding to emergencies according to defined procedures; and monitor the movement of staff, visitors, assets, equipment and materials.Full-time Officers provide meal and break coverage in the security control room and the galleries. This requires responding to phone calls and alarms as needed.OTHER FUNCTIONSParticipate in on-going training programs on safety, fire and emergency procedures, security equipment, and related areas. Maintain a high level of customer service to all staff and visitors.The Autry Museum reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
