The facility holds a Level III Trauma Center designation and offers advanced heart and stroke care, as well as a dedicated family birth center. The hospital is equipped with modern surgical infrastructure to support quality inpatient cardiothoracic surgical care delivery.

Washington State offers a range of outdoor and urban attractions for clinicians on assignment in the region. Outdoor enthusiasts may explore Ape Cave, the Lava Canyon Trail, and Deception Pass State Park, while Johnston Ridge Observatory and Snoqualmie Falls provide additional points of interest. The area also features prominent landmarks such as the Space Needle, standing 605 feet above downtown, along with natural destinations including Diablo Lake, Whidbey Island, and Lake Washington.

Clinicians will provide 24-hour call coverage for inpatient cardiothoracic surgery services, managing an adult patient population with a daily caseload of 5-10 patients, including 0-3 admits, 2-7 ICU patients, and 1-2 surgical cases. Required procedures include general cardiac surgery (open and endoscopic), coronary artery bypass surgery on pump, valvular repair and replacement, IABP, PA catheter placement, and balloon pump management. Preferred procedures include ventilation management, evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues, and central line insertion. Board certification is required for this assignment.
