Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - 7 PM to 7 AM

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to deliver high-quality care in our facility. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in patient care, focusing on respiratory treatments and interventions across various departments, including NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, and the emergency department (ED).

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients across multiple units, including critical care and pediatrics.
• Manage ventilatory support and perform diagnostic procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding respiratory health.
• Participate in training and orientation for new staff as needed.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tertiary, teaching hospital setting.
• Must have RRT certification.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NRP (for NICU) preferred.
• Experience with ventilators: Drager V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30, V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, and Vapotherm.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records is a plus.
