Our client is seeking an Entry-Level Receptionist to provide a welcoming and professional first point of contact for employees, visitors, and callers. The Receptionist will answer incoming phone calls, greet and direct visitors, and help manage the flow of people entering and leaving the facility.


This position experiences heavy traffic in the mornings and at the end of the workday, as city employees arrive to begin their day and return to the location at the end of their shifts. The ideal candidate will be friendly, dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a busy environment.


Key Responsibilities

• Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner.
• Greet visitors and employees as they arrive.
• Direct visitors and employees to the appropriate department or location.
• Help manage foot traffic and provide basic information as needed.
• Serve as a professional and welcoming first point of contact.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
• Assist with basic administrative and clerical tasks as needed.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and the public.
• Handle periods of increased traffic efficiently, particularly during morning and afternoon peak times.

Qualifications

• Previous receptionist or office experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to answer phones and communicate clearly.
• Comfortable interacting with a high volume of people.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Ability to remain professional and organized in a busy environment.
• Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required.
• Must be comfortable with a business casual dress code.

Schedule & Work Environment


This is an entry-level front desk position in a professional office environment. The Receptionist should be prepared for increased activity during the morning and afternoon when city employees arrive and leave the facility.
