This is a great opportunity for a Floater (North Lake County & Chicago-East Side) Universal Banker II.10% float stipend includedJob SummaryProvide prompt, efficient and friendly service to ensure an excellent customer experience to all customers and employees. Acknowledges customers' needs with suggestions and referrals of appropriate Bank products and services. Perform all tasks accurately and efficiently while remaining in compliance with the established Bank policies and procedures. These individuals will need to be outgoing, sales oriented, flexible, adaptable and results driven. They must demonstrate the ability to work independently and with a team, make sound decisions and use critical thinking skills. Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms all UB I duties at a proficient level including, but not limited to the following items:Processes all teller line transactions at a proficient level; including but not limited to accepting deposits and loan payments, verifying cash and endorsements, cashing checks, issuing official checks and potentially including providing overrides and approvalsCounts and balances the cash drawer daily, taking proactive steps to identify and resolve discrepancies when the balance is offFollows BSA/AML/OFAC policies and/or procedures to report any suspicious activityAlways maintain integrity, including keeping all Bank business and information confidentialOpens new accounts for customers accurately and efficientlyHandles more complex customer inquiries and requestsDemonstrates strong sales skills. Routinely seeks to refer additional products when appropriate and documents referrals in Salesforce (includes referrals to other lines of business)Moves seamlessly through the banking center acting in a variety of roles as necessaryAdapts easily to meet all needsParticipates in Bank and Team activitiesMay seek additional responsibilities such as internal committee involvement or corporate initiativesMay serve as backup to manager in their absenceMay possess ability to effectively mentor others QualificationsHigh school diploma or its equivalentOne year of retail banking experience required Six months of new account experience requiredExperience with Microsoft Office Suite requiredMust have smartphone (iOS or Android) that is able to support security features required by the Bank's IT security guidelinesABOUT USFor over a century, Peoples Bank has served as a cornerstone of customer commitment, helping our communities thrive and continuously supporting our community members.
