Job Overview Joining H&R Block as a Tax Associate means you will receive training and support from an expert team, while enjoying flexibility and opportunities for additional earnings. Responsibilities Conduct tax interviews with clients face‑to‑face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email) Prepare complete and accurate tax returns Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services Provide clients with IRS support Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration Grow your tax expertise Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment Experience working in a fast‑paced, supportive environment Ability to work a minimum of 25‑35 hours weekly during tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course Comfort using virtual tools (video, phone, chat) Strong communication skills in person, by phone, and in writing Must meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements (high school diploma or equivalent required) What You'll Bring to the Team Experience working in a fast‑paced environment Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone, and in writing Must meet all IRS and state licensing requirements High school diploma or equivalent (or higher) Compensation & Benefits Employee Assistance Program with Health Advocate Wellbeing program, BetterYou, to help you build healthy habits Neurodiversity and caregiver support available to you and your family Various discounts on everyday items and services Medical Coverage, 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (benefits with additional eligibility requirements) Click here to checkout all available benefits.
