Position: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Openings: 2 Positions
Contract Length: 6 Months
Schedule: Full-time, variable shifts based on unit needs

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide high-quality nursing care to individuals with complex medical, mental health, behavioral health, and intellectual/developmental needs.

The LVN performs advanced vocational nursing duties and is responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications and treatments, monitoring changes in patient condition, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. Nursing services are provided under the guidance of the facility's medical and clinical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and services to assigned patients.

• Administer medications, immunizations, treatments, and other prescribed nursing interventions.

• Monitor patients for unusual symptoms, adverse reactions, and changes in medical or behavioral condition.

• Monitor and document vital signs, weight, dietary needs, feedings, and other clinical indicators.

• Identify signs and symptoms of illness and use appropriate nursing judgment to provide timely and appropriate care.

• Initiate acute care plans when clinically indicated.

• Provide nursing care in accordance with the Texas Board of Nursing's Nursing Process and applicable standards of practice.

• Accurately complete electronic medical records, data entry, reports, and other required clinical documentation in a timely manner.

• Follow all facility policies, procedures, standards, and directives.

• Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements, including Joint Commission guidelines .

• Participate in required training, orientation, and continuing facility education.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current and unrestricted license to practice as an LVN in Texas , or an active license from a state recognized through the Nurse Licensure Compact , as applicable.

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience .

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must be eligible to provide services to individuals receiving Medicare and Medicaid.

• Must successfully complete required drug screening, criminal background checks, fingerprinting, and applicable registry clearance checks.

• Must meet all required immunization and health-screening requirements.

• Must successfully complete required facility training, including CPR certification.

• Must meet all additional clinical, compliance, credentialing, and onboarding requirements.

Available Shifts

Shift assignments are dependent upon unit staffing needs and may include:

• 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

• 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

• 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

• 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM

• 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Schedule: Sunday through Saturday, with alternating shifts based on staffing requirements.

Candidates should have flexibility regarding scheduling and shift assignments.

Orientation & Start Requirements

Availability is generally expected beginning on the first of the month .

Selected candidates must complete required New Employee Orientation and Nursing Orientation , which takes place Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM , during the initial onboarding period.

The official start date will be confirmed once all required credentialing, compliance, background, health, and clearance requirements have been successfully completed.

This is a 6-month contract opportunity with two LVN positions currently available.
