Patient Service Representative Are you passionate about helping patients and providing excellent customer service? We’re looking for a Patient Service Representative to join a healthcare team in Knoxville, TN for a 3-month assignment ! Position Details Position: Patient Service Representative Location: Knoxville, TN Pay: $15.00–$ 16.50/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM Assignment Length: 3 months Schedule: No weekends! What You'll Do Schedule patient appointments and return visits. Answer incoming calls and route patients to the appropriate team members. Register patients and collect accurate demographic, medical, and insurance information. Verify insurance coverage and obtain required authorizations. Update patient information and maintain accurate records. Prepare patient charts and encounter forms. Process billing and encounter information, including ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 coding. Collect and process patient payments and outstanding balances. Work closely with patients, physicians, and care team members to support quality patient care. Follow established policies, procedures, and safety standards. What We're Looking For 1+ year of medical office experience with appointment scheduling, collections, and ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 coding OR 3+ years of customer-facing/customer service experience High school diploma/GED preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Ability to work Monday–Friday during the scheduled hours.
