Analyst EngineerJob SummaryAs an Analyst Engineer, you will be a key player in our business strategy and execution. You will participate in the "full cycle" of transactional execution and support senior team members across both the A&D and coverage functions. You will play a role in implementing the execution function including working with other A&D and coverage analysts and associates, as well as assisting more senior bankers. You will develop strong function skills in the major areas of M&A&D investment banking. Working with a broader team in the region, you will be provided opportunities to be involved in real-time transactions that may include travel. Job Responsibilities: Perform technical analysis and resource / valuation assessment for oil & gas assets across North AmericaPerform economic modelling including production forecasting, type curve creation, inventory assessment, LOS analysis, review of commercial assumptions, etcBe able to support senior engineers in the construction of and maintenance of economic modeling software such as ARIES or PHDwinPerform a variety of technical analyses on completion trends, rig activity, depletion risk, well decline analysis, etcConduct market research from various platforms including Enverus, Woomdac, and FactsetRequired capabilities, and skillsExperience in technical evaluations of oil and gas assets across lower 48 conventional and unconventional play typesStrong understanding of commonly used software programs such as Spotfire, ComboCurve, ArcGIS, QGIS and Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with fundamental reservoir engineering analysis such as decline curve analysis, type curve creation and competitor analysis Support senior engineers & geologists in asset reviews (e.g. PDP forecasting, inventory assessment, type curves, LOS evaluations, geologic assessments)Working knowledge of sub-surface geologic characteristics and showcase the ability to perform geologic assessments alongside the A&D team’s geologists Assist with the development of marketing materials and execution of mandatesAssist with the preparation of data room presentations and exhibit the ability to manage virtual data roomsConsistently be a team player and can work alongside motivated colleagues that express a willingness to be successful and are driven to win Required qualifications2-4 years of Petroleum Engineering experience conducting A&D evaluationsLower 48 un-conventional reservoir evaluation experience is preferredPetroleum Engineering undergraduate degree is requiredDeep level of economic understanding of development field economics:ARIES & Combo Curve experience requiredSpotfire experience required, working understanding of QGIS and ArcGis welcomedInvestment Banking (GIB)Within Investment Banking, the firm works with a broad range of issuer clients, including corporations, institutions and governments, to provide comprehensive strategic advice, capital raising and risk management expertise.
