Glazing Estimator

Estimator - Glass & Glazing This position will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, project managers, contractors, and others as required to establish accurate estimates from the planning stage through the project bid-out stage. Understand and be able to read and analyze construction blueprints (plans, specifications). Perform accurate quantity take‑offs using plans and specifications, or conceptual information. Review, interpret and accurately estimate the scope of assigned work as described in the project documents. Utilize and manage in‑house historical cost data to improve estimate accuracy. Apply costs and rates as provided by the Director of Estimating. Request, organize and negotiate vendor quotations to ensure the quotes meet contract documents. Develop and nurture subcontractor/vendor and client relationships. Evaluate changes in scope based on updated bid documents. Assist the project manager in providing change order estimates. Work and collaborate with team members. Participate in value engineering reviews.
