Job Title

RN - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 12-Hour Shifts)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural sedation
• Monitor and assess patient vital signs, airway status, and level of consciousness in the immediate post-operative period
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe patient transitions
• Document patient assessments, care provided, and progress accurately in accordance with facility protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license or multistate compact RN license
• Current AHA BLS certification (AHA only accepted)
• Current AHA ACLS certification (AHA only accepted)
• Minimum of 3 years of PACU nursing experience
• Must have successfully completed a minimum of 2 prior travel nursing contracts
• Must reside more than 45 miles from the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity or fast-paced post-anesthesia care setting
• Familiarity with travel nursing compliance processes including drug screening requirements
