This position directly impacts equipment quality, uptime, and overall production yield. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced industrial setting, and has a strong aptitude for electrical and mechanical systems.**What You’ll Do*** Performs electrical maintenance on production equipment while adhering to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)* Ensures guards and safety mechanisms are properly installed and functional before returning equipment to service* Monitors inventory levels for parts and supplies; places and verifies orders as necessary* Utilizes manual and computerized maintenance management systems to track and report equipment status* Reads and interprets blueprints, manuals, and schematics to identify and resolve equipment issues* Troubleshoots and resolves electrical and mechanical issues, escalating unresolved problems to supervisors* Executes breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance tasks, and changeovers to minimize downtime* Observes and diagnoses issues using mechanical devices and precision instruments* Fabricates replacement parts using standard machine shop tools* Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety protocols* Operates powered industrial trucks, overhead cranes, and portable lifting equipment* Supports continuous improvement efforts and participates in team-based problem solving* Complies with OSHA safety standards, including hazard communication, lockout procedures, and ergonomics* Promotes a safety-first culture and adheres to all company policies and procedures* Performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor**Who You Are*** Minimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably in maintenance* High school diploma or equivalent required; apprenticeship, journeyman training, military service, or equivalent training preferred* Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment* Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with electrical systems and PLCs* Effective communicator with basic math skills and the ability to read technical documentation* Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a high-pressure environment* Ability to pass job-related testing, physical exam, and drug screening* Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and collaborative mindset**Physical Abilities*** Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds* Ability to stand or walk for extended periods throughout the shift* Ability to bend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, and reach in all directions* Other physical demands as required for the position**What You’ll Get** Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
