Shriners Children's Southern California Job OpportunityShriners Children's Southern California is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the multidisciplinary team in our Pediatric outpatient team.Key Responsibilities:The Occupational Therapist position provides evaluation and therapy services, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transition of care, in an efficient, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner upon licensed independent practitioner referral.Responsibilities include:Providing comprehensive compliant and safe clinical care demonstrating the philosophy of family centered care, a commitment to the achievement of optimal patient outcomes in alignment with the standards of practice of their professional organization.Working with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the pediatric patients and their family.Functioning as a team member and developing leadership skills through activities such as: mentoring, and providing education to students and other professionals.Supporting the ongoing development and improvement of the department through participation in special projects, performance improvement and facility committees.Responsible for professional growth and development through ongoing education and research in alignment with hospital's patient care and strategic direction.Responsible for maintaining current knowledge in changes related to scope of practice, coding/billing practices, compliant documentation and any other knowledge related to the compliant practice in a revenue cycle environment.In cooperation with other local leaders, offers exceptional care following the Shriners Hospitals for Children® FOCUSED©™ Program, a system-wide model for professional practice that stresses and emphasizes patient-centered care, or always putting the needs of the patients (and their families first).Required Qualifications:Current licensure by the California Board of Occupational TherapyCPR certificationBachelors DegreePreferred Qualifications:1+ years of pediatric experience1+ year Occupational Therapy experienceHand Therapy experienceThe pay range for this position is $46.14 - $69.22/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
