Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Pay: starting at $19.00
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift
Opportunity: Temp-to-Hire

PeopleShare is currently seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Administrator for a growing warehouse and distribution operation in Virginia Beach. This position plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, logistics coordination, and order processing while ensuring high levels of productivity, efficiency, and safety.
Responsibilities

• Perform regular inventory audits and maintain accurate inventory records
• Track, investigate, and communicate inventory discrepancies to warehouse leadership
• Receive and process incoming orders and manufacturing orders within the ERP system
• Monitor order flow through warehouse dashboards and ensure timely picking, packing, and shipping
• Manage the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process and assist with corrective actions
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to orders and shipments
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities
• Schedule and communicate with transportation providers to ensure timely deliveries and pickups
• Ensure compliance with shipping, receiving, and safety regulations
• Support internal audits and compliance initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, productivity, and operational processes
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting within warehouse and ERP systems

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred with a minimum of 3 years of warehouse administration experience
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience working with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and computer skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Experience

• Inventory control and cycle counting
• Logistics coordination and transportation scheduling
• Order processing and shipment tracking
• Manufacturing or warehouse environments
• ERP systems and warehouse reporting tools
• Continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and carry up to 60 pounds as needed
• Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, bend, and climb throughout the workday
• Ability to mount and dismount forklifts and warehouse equipment
• Ability to work both in warehouse and office environments

Work Environment

• Warehouse and office setting
• Frequent interaction with warehouse personnel, management, vendors, suppliers, and customers
• Exposure to warehouse equipment, moving machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures
• Use of standard office equipment including computers, phones, copiers, and printers
• Operation of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts
