NTT DATA's client is currently seeking a Java Developer to join their team in Irving, TX.Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based backend applicationsWork with frameworks such as Spring / Spring Boot to build scalable servicesDevelop and integrate RESTful APIsWrite clean, efficient, and well-documented code following coding standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and UI developersParticipate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimizationWork with relational databases to design and optimize queriesSupport application deployment and troubleshooting in lower environmentsAdhere to secure coding practices and quality standardsSkills Required:Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8 or above)Experience with Spring Framework / Spring BootGood understanding of OOP concepts, data structures, and design patternsExperience in developing RESTful web servicesHands-on experience with SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)Familiarity with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate / JPAKnowledge of version control systems (Git)Tools & Technologies:Build tools: Maven or GradleIDEs: IntelliJ IDEA / EclipseBasic understanding of CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with application servers (Tomcat, etc.)Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plusBasic knowledge of Docker or containerization is an added advantageSoft Skills:Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsGood communication and teamwork abilitiesWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologiesAbility to work in an Agile/Scrum environmentEducation:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)Nice to Have:Exposure to microservices architecture Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) Basic understanding of front-end technologies (React/Angular) is a bonusCompensation:Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is ($40-$50/hour). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. This position is eligible for company benefits that will depend on the nature of the role offered.
