Senior Real Estate Title & Closings Manager

An established law firm based in Hyde Park with over 25+ years in practice is seeking a Real Estate - Title Agency Manager with 5+ years of experience to join their team onsite. This Attorney will have experience with residential and commercial real estate transactions, title insurance, escrow, and closings , ensuring compliance with applicable Ohio law, Ohio Department of Insurance requirements, title underwriter standards, and federal regulations while supporting client service and business growth. Offer Salary range: $145,000-$185,000+ contingent on experience Performance based bonus opportunity Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer contribution Paid time off and paid holidays Professional development and licensing support Entrepreneurial compensation structure tied to growth and performance Qualifications Juris Doctor from an accredited law school preferred Active Ohio Title Insurance Agent license or in the process of obtaining 5+ years of experience practicing real estate law or managing title operations with a preference for commercial title experience Strong working knowledge of real estate transactions and closing practices Strong working knowledge of title insurance commitments, policies, and endorsements Demonstrated ability to manage risk, compliance, and regulatory obligations Strong communication skills with a collaborative and client focused approach Responsibilities Provide legal counsel and oversight for residential and commercial real estate transactions including purchases, sales, refinances, construction financing, and development closings Draft, review, and interpret purchase agreements, deeds, affidavits, easements, restrictive covenants, surveys, and closing documents Identify, address, and resolve title issues including defects, liens, encroachments, probate matters, and judgment concerns Review survey and title objections from lenders and borrowers and coordinate with underwriters or underwriting counsel for required approvals Oversee daily operations of the in house Ohio licensed title insurance agency including title examination, escrow, closings, remittance, and compliance Review and approve title commitments, policies, endorsements, escrow procedures, and policy remittance Train, mentor, and collaborate with title, closing, and accounting staff to ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance Support business development initiatives while maintaining a client first service philosophy For this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
