Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to obstetric patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. Ensure the safety and comfort of mothers and newborns through comprehensive clinical support and monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Assess prenatal and labor progression to develop appropriate care plans.
• Monitor vital signs and FHR to detect any signs of distress.
• Administer medications and interventions per physicians' orders.
• Support patients emotionally and educate them on birthing processes.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse license with active state certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and intervention skills.
• Maintain current BLS and ALS certifications.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure obstetric environments.
