Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to obstetric patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. Ensure the safety and comfort of mothers and newborns through comprehensive clinical support and monitoring.

Responsibilities:

Assess prenatal and labor progression to develop appropriate care plans.
Monitor vital signs and FHR to detect any signs of distress.
Administer medications and interventions per physicians' orders.
Support patients emotionally and educate them on birthing processes.
Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

Valid Registered Nurse license with active state certification.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and intervention skills.
Maintain current BLS and ALS certifications.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure obstetric environments.
