Fire Protection Engineer

Senior Fire Protection Engineer | Boston - Mission Critical / Healthcare / Life Sciences As a Senior Fire Protection Engineer, you will lead the fire protection design on dedicated projects and take part in coordination meetings across the project team. You will work closely with junior staff, providing guidance and technical review of their work, and contribute to project budgeting and scheduling. Working Set up: Hybrid - 3 days in office Project Type: Mission Critical, Healthcare and Life Sciences Responsibilities Lead design and development of fire protection systems including sprinkler, standpipe, fire alarm, and special hazard suppression systems for commercial, healthcare, and institutional facilities Conduct site visits, inspections, and field surveys to support design and construction phases Oversee preparation of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, hydraulic calculations and equipment schedules Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural and other team members Lead review of submittals and RFIs during construction administration Serve as Project Engineer and Project Manager on complex, high-stakes projects Mentor and review the work of junior engineers Use engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work (i.e. Autodesk Revit MEP & AutoCAD, hydraulic calc software) Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field 8+ years of relevant fire protection design experience Strong working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA 13, NFPA 72, NFPA 101, IBC) Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software PE license preferred Strong communication and organizational skills If this role matches yours skillset and you are looking for a new role or are interested in hearing more about the role, please apply to this role or contact me via View email address on click.appcast.io or drop me a call or message to View phone number on click.appcast.io. #J-18808-Ljbffr
