We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated, automotive technician to join our team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of passenger vehicles and light trucks. Because we are an independent shop, you’ll handle everything from routine maintenance to complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics across all domestic, Asian, and European makes, models, and years.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Perform accurate electrical, drivability, heating/AC, engine performance, brake, and suspension diagnostics on domestic and import vehicles of any year, make, or model.
• Repairs & Maintenance: Execute mechanical repairs, including engine swaps, timing belts, steering/suspension, brake systems, transmissions, and routine fluid services.
• Inspection & Documentation: Conduct comprehensive digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) to identify required and preventative maintenance, detailing findings clearly for service advisors and customers.
• Efficiency & Work Quality: Complete repairs correctly the first time in accordance with shop and OEM safety standards.
• Shop Environment: Keep your assigned bay clean, organized, and safe. Care for shop diagnostic tools and equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certifications: Active ASE Certification preferred (A1–A8 preferred; Master Tech or L1 certification is a major plus).
• Experience: Minimum 3–5+ years of professional automotive repair experience in a general service or independent shop setting.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with modern diagnostic tools, scan tools, lab scopes, and wiring diagrams.
• Driver’s License: Valid Oregon driver's license with a clean driving record (required for test drives).
• Work Ethic: Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset.
