Volunteer Coordinator Chair - The 831 Experience

Powered By Love is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator Chair to lead the recruitment, training, scheduling, and engagement of volunteers for The 831 Experience . This volunteer leadership role will help build and manage a volunteer workforce of more than 200 individuals dedicated to serving unhoused neighbors with dignity and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit and onboard Guest Navigators, event volunteers, and support teams.
• Manage volunteer registration, communication, scheduling, and attendance tracking.
• Coordinate volunteer orientations and training sessions, including trauma-informed care and de-escalation training.
• Work closely with event leadership to ensure every service area is properly staffed.
• Foster a welcoming, mission-driven volunteer culture before, during, and after the event.

Qualifications:

• Experience in volunteer management, people leadership, event coordination, human resources, community engagement, or related fields preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to motivate, support, and coordinate diverse groups of volunteers.
