Description

American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Respiratory Therapist for a Level 1 trauma hospital, requiring 5+ years of recent critical care experience and RRT certification for a 13-week night shift assignment.

Details

• Inpatient respiratory therapy role at a Level 1 trauma facility
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 7p-7:30a
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Participation on Code Blue team
• Critical care experience in both MICU and SICU required

Requirements

• RRT certification required
• MA Respiratory Care license required (if applicable)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 5+ years of recent critical care experience in a Level 1 trauma facility
• Familiarity with lung protective ventilation strategies
• Ability to make ventilator management decisions based on patient assessment and lab results
• Level III NICU experience preferred
• Experience with Drager XL and V500 ventilators preferred
• NPS and/or ACCS certification preferred

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care services within a Level 1 trauma hospital setting
• Make clinical ventilator management decisions as part of a critical care team
• Participate in Code Blue response team activities
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
