Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 (traveler's choice); weekend coverage required based on staffing needs

Highlights:

• 13-week or 26-week assignment (traveler's choice)
• Work within an innovative Co-Care/Virtual Nursing Model with dedicated bedside RN, virtual RN, and CNA support for comprehensive patient care
• 34-bed medical-surgical unit caring for diverse patient populations including surgical (colorectal, urological, gynecological, vascular, ENT, wound) and medical (oncology, cardiac, respiratory, diabetes, substance use disorder) patients
• Epic charting system in a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility recognized as the best hospital in Alaska
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with CNA support; 60 guaranteed hours per two-week period
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, lift teams, rapid response teams, and more

Requirements:

• Current Alaska RN license or ability to obtain (pending licenses accepted for submission; license must be in hand for final offer)
• Minimum 1 year of recent medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
• Experience with Epic or similar electronic medical record system preferred
• Experience with 5-6 patient ratio required
• Willingness to float to similar medical-surgical units as needed
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility
• First-time travelers welcome
